Where to live in Welland
Most Welland apartments can be found close to the downtown core. The largest and nicest buildings however can be found along Denistoun Street. These apartments are located along the old Welland Canal and offer fabulous views and walking trails. You will also find some apartments not far from Seaway Mall on Fitch Street. You may also want to look along Niagara Street as well as Lancaster Drive.
If you want to live near Niagara College, you will want to find an apartment in the Woodlawn Road and Rice Road area. In all likeliness, you will be searching for a house for rent or an apartment in someone's basement though as there just isn't that many apartment buildings in this area.
Transportation Routes
Transportation has long remained a problem for the city of Welland. Hwy 406 runs along the outer east side of the city leaving the west end without easy highway access. Most apartments in Welland are located in either the central or west side of the city. Back roads in the west end are often used to get to Hwy 20 and then on to Hwy 406 or the QEW.
